On August 22 I joined Diver Magazine UK's Technical editor John Bantin at Camel Dive Club in Sharm el Sheik Egypt to assist in assessing and comparing ten dive computers.
I acted as John's safety diver and photographer for this project. Dives to 50 metres put the computers into decompression mode as the information was photographed to keep records for evaluation. My images will be used in the article in Diver's October issue.

We will be returning to Tulumben on Bali's North East coast in November. Wide angle close up's and super macro using a 1.5 teleconverter will be the order of the day.

As a Watch commander in the Fire and Rescue Service I thought I would share some images I've taken at various incidents and give you an insight into an exciting, dynamic and sometimes dangerous profession.

April will see us getting amongst some of the best muck diving on the planet. Staying at Scuba Seraya Resort will mean easy access to Seraya Secrets and a very short boat ride to the world famous Liberty wreck. I'll post images in early May.

karen and I are going back to visit our new friends at Thalassa Dive centre in Manado North Sulawesi. I will be diving the fantastic Bunaken National marine park, Banka and Lembeh Strait.
These areas have a mind boggling array of marine life and have proved to be memory card fillers for me in the past.
The targets for this trip will be toxic urchins with either Coleman shrimps or Zebra crabs in residence, the elusive Mimic and Blue Ring octopus.
I also intend to experiment with some 'wide angle close up' techniques.
Images will be uploaded on this site about mid July.

Karen and I will be visting our favourite Maldivian destination, The tiny island of Thudufushi in late November 2007.
The underwater photo oppertunities are vast with Manta Rays being seen at this time of year.
The Island is in the Southwest of the Ari Atoll, with easy access to the hundreds of Thila's and giri's that hold huge shoals of fish.
Turtles are everywhere along with my favourite of all fish:- Eagle rays.
To say we are excited is an understatement.
The Nikon D200 and Subal are already packed along with my beaten to death dive kit.
I will be posting Images on the site in late December.

My nephew Huw Samuel begged me to teach him to dive.
So on a sunny June morning we got into the water at Wraysbury Dive center to master the skills required within the PADI system.
Huw took to the water like a fish showing competance in all areas.
Since qualifying Huw has enrolled at 6th Form College studying photography.
The next generation of Underwater Image makers?

Diver Mags technical editor John Bantin put together a team of technical divers including Nigel Wade to test and report on 15 regulator sets at a depth of 50 meters.

The tests were carried out in Taba Egypt.

Each set of regs were rigorously put through their paces using a set format to ensure consistant results.

The results were published in the July 06 issue of the magazine.

Nigel following a 75 meter dive on an uncharted wreck in the Separation Lane English Channel UK.
The expedition over 5 days was researched and organised by the late Keith Morris. Involving two teams of Technical divers using Len Hurdiss’ Autumn Dream and Ian Taylor’s Skin Deep as dive platforms.
Decompression schedules were carried out using a trapeze to keep the divers together whilst adrift on the tides. The attendant dive boats taking it in turn to ‘Fend off’ the massive tankers using the shipping lanes
All the wrecks were unidentified except the Pangani which was a known mark.
Legendary wreck researcher Nick Chipchase is still working to discover the identities of the other four.
